An authorisation is a small charge processed by some merchants to determine if a card holds sufficient funds and is approved to purchase from a merchant. Authorisations are first charged whenever a cardholder attempts to purchase a good or service through a debit or credit card.

Merchants who charge authorisations will reverse them after several days. Once this is complete DiviPay will remove the authorisation charge from your reports and your accounting software on the day that it is reversed.
